What Is a Virtual Assistant?
I'm often asked what I do for a living, to which I respond I'm a Virtual Assistant. That always prompts the question, "What is a Virtual Assistant?"
If I were in a traditional office setting, I would likely be known as the Office Administrative Assistant, but in the online community, I'm known as a Virtual Assistant. As a VA, I work from my own office, using my own equipment providing services to businesses, entrepreneurs, executives, and other busy people, My assignments are usually communicated to me via e-mail, phone, fax or mail. Whatever the project, information is easily transferred between my client and myself.
Basically, a Virtual Assistant can do almost anything an Administrative Assistant can do with the exception of physically cleaning your office or picking up your garments from the dry cleaners; however, I can always schedule those things to be done for you.
